One of the masters of 20th century art and a pioneer of European Surrealism, Joan Miro was born in Barcelona, Spain. His prodigious output included paintings, drawings, tapestries and stage designs. Also a renowned printmaker he published his first prints in 1928 when he was 35. His iconographic images represent a simplicity and humanity that are universally appreciated. These 5 lithographs, all signed and numbered by Miro are from the series "Le Lezard aux Plumes d'Or" ("The Lizard with Golden Feathers") and are in pristine condition, having been stored since publication in their original archival portfolio. |
