Yaacov Agam

b

c
Born in Palastine in 1928, the son of a village rabbi, Agam studied art at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. After an arrest by the British in 1945 and a 2 year imprisonment, he moved to Zurich in 1947 and studied under Johanes Itten where he developed his own, now famous, style. In this abstract kinetic art, he has a constant preference for geometric form and pure bright colors. He settled in Paris in 1951 and his paintings and serigraphs are included in every major museum of modern art, including the "Salon Agam" at the Pompidou center in Paris. We are pleased to offer four of his fine serigraphs.
